It'd all depends, I think, on whether it's a prequel, or a sequel.I am, though, looking forward to seeing how Frank Miller comes up with new materials.

From cinematical.com "…and with all due respect, when asked point blank if they had been in contact with Miller, they didn’t answer. That doesn’t confirm a solid project. I’m going to go out on a limb here, and suggest Miller hasn’t given it a second thought since the movie came out."

A movie can't make million bucks at the box office and Miller NOT to have given some kind of spin-off a second thought. If Miller doesn't come up with the idea, some suit is going to offer him a wheelbarrow full of cash to think about it. It could be a sequel, prequel or an "equel." "Equel" is a term I'm coining, right now, for a spin off story that depicts events that happen concurrent with the events in the original story. For example, "Ender's Shadow," by Orson Scott Card, is an equel of "Ender's Game."Let's face it, "Frank Miller" has become a bankable box office commodity. You wouldn't have guessed that based on "RoboCop 3" or his acting role, Daredevil (2003) …. Man with Pen in Head!

As long as they call it 301, I'm there!I also hope the original gets Broadway musical treatment.

    • Russ Rogers says:

Producers of "300! The Musical" are still debating whether the musical should debut in film, on Broadway or go straight to a Vegas Review show. Rumors have it that Clay Aiken has already been tapped to play the role of King Leonidas! And Michael Davis will be pleased to note that staging, stunts and choreography will be provided by Cirque du Soleil!

      • Mark Behar says:

        Must… resist… urge… to rip Clay Aiken to shreds with follow-up insults…

Singing and dancing Spartans? The mind boggles.

I sorta kinda liked "Meet The Spartans." ;-)
