Thanks for your coverage of the event, Van. Curious to a fault, I searched out Mike Wieringo. He was a dynamic artist who tragically died of a heart attack last year. He had worked on The Flash and Spider-man. But his creation, "Tellos," might have been his masterwork. Tellos Colossal is a hardcover collection of the fantasy series Ringo did at Image with writer, Todd Dezago . "Tellos Colossal" came out just two days after Ringo's death. It looks like a cross between Dreadstar and His Dark Materials, without so much dread or darkness. Seriously, it looks like a very cool book, in a similar vein as Black Ice?I would love to see a review of "Tellos Collossal" here on ComicMix. Also, there seems to be a very cool Tribute to Ringo Sketchbook in the works.

Russ — Tellos Colossal had actually been out for a while by the time Mike died. However, the paperback version of Tellos Colossal came out a few weeks ago, and Tellos Colossal: Volume Two is out in September (Todd DeZago is actually kind enough to let me post the first issue of Tellos at ComicBookGazette.com in September, so that would be a cool risk-free way to try it out if you're hesitant on dropping money on the trade). It was a great series, really fun at times, and heart-tugging at others. It had a cool twist ending, and sure enough, if you go back and re-read it, there are some clues that seem obvious the second time around. Both Mike and Todd are in top form there and I tore through the issues.
