I know when I got my latest job, I went around singing the song from Hired! the Musical from MST3K: "I got a JOB today! I'm selling Chevrolets! I'm bringing home good pay…I just got hired!"

Congrats. I was fired February 13th and my unemployment runs out in August. I've had no health care since my job ended. COBRA contacted me but they wanted $500+ a month to continue my coverage so I passed. Thankfully I'm in relative good health, asthma notwithstanding. Luckily I have extra inhalers. When they run out I guess I'll use Primatine. Unlike you I have no safety net so life may get pretty scary if the u/e stops before I've found a new job.

Well, that's just great news!I've done the job search dance four times in the past 10 years, and I can't think of too many experiences in life that are more humbling.

As soon as you come out from hiding behind the drive-by "Anonymous" tag, I suppose. (And I'm still wondering why you don't hit-and-run on any other ComicMix columnists when they write about subjects other than comics.)

Congratulations, Elayne! I had to laugh about the type of questions you didn't like. I just completed a supervisory skills course at the university I work at, and part of the training was on asking questions just like those when doing interviews!
