Rick Marshall was Online Managing Editor for ComicMix before joining MTV's SplashPage. Previously, he was Online Content Manager for Wizard Entertainment. He has written for several daily newspapers, alternative weekly newspapers, trade magazines and online media, and was named "Writer of the Year" by the New York Press Association in 2005.

    This is nice. I think the singing sounds influenced by David Bowie. The lyrics sound more like Gerry Goffin, "Pleasant Valley Sunday." The SoundClick site it cool. I'm checking out the other SoundSight tunes there now! Rock on!

      If you listen to the hi-fi version on SoundClick you might not make the Bowie comparison – though I can certainly see it for the lo-fi version here on ComicMix. The lo-fi tends to give my vocal a bit of a warble that I associate with Bowie. On the other hand – I think you nailed what I was going for in the lyrics!
