Rock On! This charity thing has become a nice theme here on ComicMix! Great! I would love to see a "Comics Charity Round Up" as a regular feature here on ComicMix. Let people know what comics creators are doing to raise money for their favorite charities or causes. A look at the HERO Initiative and the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund might be a good start. Also, take a look at "Mission Fish," this is e-Bay's charity auction wing. http://www.missionfish.org/ There are tons of charity auctions on e-Bay. The sellers can determine what percentage of their sale goes to the charity and the buyer gets to SEE that percentage! So you you know exactly what those classic words, "A portion of the proceeds go toward…" means. And e-Bay seems to have VERY generous terms on their Mission Fish approved charity auctions. A percentage of the listing fees equal to the percentage of gift to charity is credited back to the lister! This means that if the lister is giving 100% of the proceeds to charity, they are credited with 100% of the listing costs. That's amazing.Mission Fish also makes it easy to find your favorite charity and the auctions that benefit it.Here are the NF auctions: http://www.missionfish.org/NPMMF/nphomepage.jsp?N…The HERO Initiative auctions: http://www.missionfish.org/NPMMF/nphomepage.jsp?N…And the CBLDF auctions: http://www.missionfish.org/NPMMF/nphomepage.jsp?N
