David Tennant ‘Doctor Who’ Audio Interview and Season Four Episode Guide
Okay, spoiler-conscious Doctor Who fans, it’s time for you to leave the room.
I’m serious. Don’t read any further!
Just get up, walk into the next room and quietly close the door. Someone will signal you when we’re done here.
Are we good to go now?
Now that it’s just us sane folk, here’s the deal: UK audiences were recently treated to a full episode-by-episode breakdown of the upcoming season of Doctor Who, thanks to a recent issue of Radio Times, the British equivalent to TV Guide.
Our friends over at io9 have posted scans of every page of the episode guide, and also took the extra step of providing their own summary of the guide. Here are some of the highlights:
In the first episode, that diet pill company’s slogan is "The Fat Just Walks Away," and it appears to be literally true. The weird babies made out of fat are kind of cute, in a disturbing way.
Ohhh-kay. Moving on…
The next episode, "The Doctor’s Daughter," is just what it sounds like. And her name is Jenny.
And if you were wondering about that weird giant bee in the Season Four trailer we reported on last month, it looks like you have an answer:
Episode 7, the Agatha Christie episode, is as we’ve described: Christie’s real-life disappearance, in 1926, turns out to be the work of a giant wasp.
There’s a veritable cornucopia of previews and other information to ruin the day of your favorite spoiler-conscious friend with over at io9, so head over there for the full synopsis.
Of course, if you’d rather hear it all straight from the Doctor himself, BBC Radio recently conducted an interview with David Tennant himself in which they press him for information about that very same episode guide. It’s a great interview, despite Tennant’s reluctance to offer up any additional information about the upcoming season.
Actually, the BBC interviewer summed up Tennant’s stranglehold on Season Four secrets pretty well, I think, telling the actor, "It’s easier to interview a government minister than it is to get any plot exclusives from David Tennant."
It’s a fun, interesting little chat, though, and well worth the time for Doctor Who fans looking to get some info straight from the Doctor’s mouth.
Now make sure to tell the spoiler-phobes they can come back in the room, okay?
