Cloverfield Easter Eggs?
Okay, so I’m the last person in the world who hasn’t seen Cloverfield. I can deal with that, because I’m a professional – that’s what we do. But for everyone who has seen the film, SciFi Wire has this great little piece about some of the Easter Eggs hidden throughout the film.
Sure, there are definite spoilers in this one, but since I’m the only person in the world who has to worry about them, you can knock yourselves out, folks.
Take for instance, this comment from director Matt Reeves about a certain shot described earlier in the article:
"The thing about that shot is that almost nobody sees the shot, but once you see the shot and the thing in it, you’ll never stop seeing it."
*Sigh*
A highly overrated movie.
i think that your wrong because that movie is a great movie to watch
I agree. That movie was awsome.
I'll take the other side of the fence and say that this movie can't be talked about enough.***SPOILERS***As for the easter eggs in the article, it's been revealed that the last image is not the monster falling from the sky into the water, it's a satellite that "awakens" the monster. This also ties into the viral marketing they did prior to the release.
That article wasn't that great, but it was little. Two easter eggs does equal "abounds". I'm sure there's a great deal more in there, but we'll have to scour the web to find them. All I know is the DVD of this puppy better include ALL the viral stuff – copies of all the you-tube clips, the web sites, the lot. Right now the popular desire among the public is to go the opposite direction – do the big budget film and show the fight from the army's viewpoint, right up to Hammer Down and beyond. It'd be interesting to see if they could do the BIG version as well as they did the little one.
May I commend your attention to a couple o' things I wrote (before seeing the film) about the Cloverfield viral stuff:http://www.moli.com/p/moliview/3_198741/article andhttp://www.moli.com/p/moliview/3_199015/article)
