I haven't watched a lot of Python, so maybe the bite bit is from a show. But python bites are harmless. They squeeze people to death.

Actually, it's a riff from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Not watched much Python? I envy the enjoyment you're going to have.

I've seen bits and thought it was silly. I think I just have the wrong kind of brain. I recognize a lot of bits from it, though, because they've entereed fannish culture, not to mention general culture.

they squeeze people to death? am I missing the reference? Its okay if I am…

      • Marilee J. Layman says:

The sub-head says "Mînd yoü, pÿthøn bites can be prettÿ nastÿ…" and I was guessing it was from the show/movies rather than just a sub-head. But real pythons squeeze people to death. They do bite and it hurts, but it doesn't kill you. Of the deadly snakes, some have venom, others just wind around you and squeeze you.

I think Field Marshall Montgomery did much the same thing… professionally speaking, of course.
