Sadly, my issues of the various PROWLER mini-series were part of the collection I left behind in Brooklyn. I loved the concept, along with many of the other series that Eclipse was publishing back then. Would you put AIRBOY in the ‘grindhouse’ category?

Which incarnation of Airboy? The original or the Eclipse version?

IGN -> Dimension Comics, new company!! (Grindhouse)http://comics.ign.com/articles/767/767764p1.htmlThe Weinstein Company's Dimension Films is well known for its genre movies like Sin City, the Scream series and the Kill Bill franchise. But now the house that Harvey and Bob built is looking to branch out into the world of comics with a new brand called Dimension Comics.

We had gone into the Prowler yarns with a decidedly grindhouse attitude — "we" being Tim Truman and John K. Snyder III and Graham Nolan and Yrs. Trly. — and made a point of adapting a handful of proto-grinder movies ("The Vampire Bat" and "White Zombie" amongst them) in developing a deeper back-story. The intrinsic cinematic qualities of John and Graham's art provided a distinct advantage, there. Nice to see folks picking up on that reflected influence.
