Very exciting episode. If Gus is dead, I will be sad. That's a compliment to the quality of the story and art, because we really don't know that much about Gottmögen. But I like him; he's one of my favorite characters. He just saved LJ's life a few pages ago. It would be a shame if LJ couldn't return the favor. The underwater sequence is very good. I like the quiet disorientation. It would have been nice to see LJ have to drop his boots or his gun belt in the drink to help him orient himself, lose some dead weight and get to the surface; but that might become a sore plot point later on.

No comment – yet – on who lives or dies. And I know why you made the underwater suggestions – but the undertow and current are so strong at this point that it would do no good for LJ to drop anything – even if the passage of time was slower. Besides – how much could that belt weigh – with all the bullets gone?
