I didn't have any clue who her father was until the first page of this chapter. I was a bit late (oh, really?) and I'm sure there are others who were quicker on the uptake than me.Congratulations to Mr. Holroyd – not only for his terrific secret but for a great story which keeps me eagerly waiting for the next installment. Now, if I only knew what this formula was … ;)

This plot is extra twisty! I also had NO clue that Gur Kahn might be Maya's father. And I've been trying to follow this plot closely. I had been guessing that Gur Khan was Jigaro (a minor character, a Takada Energy Security Enforcer, introduced and forgotten way back on page 61, White Viper #12). Both Jigaro and Gur Khan are BIG, beefy guys. Maybe Jigaro is only a red herring. Where is Jigaro?Jade says, "He wanted more just like him." And Maya responds, "Like him…?" I agree, what does "like him" mean? Blond? Tall? White? Ruthless Killer? So Gur Khan had a eugenics through rape program? Jade says he "took advantage" of her. That could mean a lot of things, but I read that as "rape." Why did Gur Khan forget about Jade? She certainly didn't forget about him.OK, so Gur Khan and his bandits had been plaguing the valley for at least nine months before Ta Moa showed up. Gur Khan is native. What made Gur Khan want the halves of the medallion? How did Gur Khan find out about the medallion? Was there a traitor in the Brothers of the Monastery? As far as I can tell, only Ta Moa, his father (Lam) and the Monks knew what the medallion was for. Where did Lam, Ta Moa's father, go? Why hasn't Lam come looking for his son? What is Gur Khan's connection to Takada Energy or Suko Research? Why did Gur Khan wear a mask and hide his white hair? How was Jade able to follow Ta Moa (a trained Ninja) without being detected? How was she able to best Gur Khan with one blow, even with the element of surprise? Has Jade had martial arts training? The plot has really picked up in pace since White Viper #15. It feels like the pacing has shifted into overdrive and you are rushing to a conclusion. At one point it felt like the White Viper might run for about 30 issues or more. Now it feels like you are trying to wrap things up by issue 20 or 21. Was there a change in the production schedule or am I reading too much into this?

Not that it matters too much, except to Mr. Holroyd, but Erin Holroyd, the writer, is Mrs. Holroyd.
