One of these days I really should write about the David/McFarlane debate one of these days, since I helped run programming at that con. Darn my lack of memory skills…

Hey, Elayne. I was listening to an old mini-cassette a few weeks ago and found a sound recording I made of that debate. The quality isn't very good, but it probably could be transcribed. Let me know if you'd like to use it.

The court documents filed by both sides are all online. Read them. Carefully. Without prejudice. And then tell me, with a straight face, that Ellison has a case. I don't think you can do it. LOL!

Just so we're clear, it wasn't meant to be an argument or a debate. It was what it was: me saying, "Hey, it sucks this company is being involved in a petty fight between two egotists. Support the company, their work is great."

Writer/Artist/Letter and I will assume colors too, all by Mark Wheatley, it's a tour de farce!I caught Lone Justice, GrimJack and Modi in the bar. I don't recognize "Captain Comet" or the guy in the bowler hat. Were they characters from "Mars" and "Seduction of the Innocent"? What about the twins in the background? Anybody recognize them?Anyway, cute story. A nice introduction to the world of Frankenstein Mobster. I hope we will be seeing more of Frankenstein Mobster on ComicMix soon.

That's not a bowler, it's a batting helmet or something similar, assuming we're both looking at the guy to the Grimmer's left…

The characters you fail to name – well that's because they have not yet appeared. Ranger and Cadet Nancy are from MJ Butler's BLAST OFF PATROL – hopefully you will get a chance to read that soon. The twins are from a project to be announced. Did you notice the EZ STREET character?

    • Russ Rogers says:

I didn't notice on the first read, but I'm always up for a challenge. The Michael Moore looking guy in the baseball cap with an "S" (pages 5 and 8) and is "Chuck," from EZ STREET! Way to hide the "Easter Eggs!"Page 8 also has a "Conan" looking character and another character that looks like a "Space Ghost" Villain. And why wouldn't a Mob Boss keep his dirty underwear in a Briefs Case! That can be some pretty incriminating evidence. I don't think "Skidmark Louie" made his name as a crime boss driving the get away car!

      • MARK WHEATLEY says:

Yeah – I'm afraid that would make the undies "illegal briefs".Oh – and the CONAN-like character is SKULTAR – another MJ Butler project I hope to get to eventually.

Finally got around to reading this. Another fun story. Thanks.
