Dennis O’Neil: What Would Green Lantern Do?

Dennis O'Neil

Dennis O'Neil was born in 1939, the same year that Batman first appeared in Detective Comics. It was thus perhaps fated that he would be so closely associated with the character, writing and editing the Dark Knight for more than 30 years. He's been an editor at Marvel and DC Comics. In addition to Batman, he's worked on Spider-Man, Daredevil, Iron Man, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, the Question, The Shadow and more. O'Neil has won every major award in the industry. His prose novels have been New York Times bestsellers. Denny lives in Rockland County with his wife, Marifran.

I do feel cheated that there isn't a movement in pop culture to stop Bush and this pointless war. If you try to state an oppionion you are considered unAmerican and working for the terrorists.Captain America has always been in my mind a symbol of America. He can stand up to the man and still represent our country. My heart was broken in a recent Captain America book (Captain America: The Chosen, is you were wondering) where they based the book on the lies the admistration is telling. Steve Rogers must be rolling in his grave!Comics were always part of the "counter-culture" and I kind of wonder is there is anything left to the "Counter-Culture." Or has "The Man" truely won?
