Hi Glenn,I hate to say this but Mr. Culp was nominated for the best screenplay Emmy for "The Loser" (same episode for which Mr. Cosby won the acting award that year), not "Court of the Lion." "Court of the Lion" is pretty uneven — Mr. Culp both wrote and directed (his first time) and there were problems filming apart from the usual logistical nightmares that almost every *I Spy* episode had to overcome. Most fans seem to agree that the third season episode "Home to Judgement" is Mr. Culp's very best work as a writer. Up there with his best work as an actor, too, in my opinion. Great direction by Richard Sarafian, and a score that should have won Earl Hagen an Emmy (which he did get for a different episode that year.Sorry about going on. I still can't really believe he's gone.
