It wasn't too long ago that Waid got into a twitwar with Rich Johnston, which prompted tons of fans to block RJ. Such a thing nearly resulted in his profile being removed.
Who'd have thunk that comic scribes could be such a cowardly, sensitive and defensive lot?
I like most of Waid's work. I think his stint as an editor at DC produced more consistent material than his Boom stuff today though.

I've said before comics are the only medium with a mother of an inferiority complex, and this is a symptom to that effect, I think. People need to be able to take a joke, especially in these glorious modern times, where everything can go public in the blink of an eye.

Read the tweets. It all seems to be in pretty good fun. Whedon and Ellis were just fighting over that dreeeeamy John Cassady.
