Sadly, casting rumors peg Nathan as being too old for the role. I disagree personally.

Pretty good for fan made. I myself thought he'd be a great pick but for some reason he's to old. We can have 30 year olds play teenagers but its too much for a guy barely 38 (and doesn't look that old) to play someone who should be that age range.

I don't get it either. Sean Connery & Harrison Ford are both way past 38 and still making action movies. Taken starred a guy in his 50s and it was a big sleeper hit. I wasn't a huge fan of Firefly, but I do like Nathan Fillion's work (including Castle) and I think he'd make a good Hal Jordan given his range and knack for developing chemistry with his female co-stars.

Oh well, at least we have this cool trailer. (Hard to believe it was fan made.)

A live-action GL film, complete with CGI effects, is feasible now. I really enjoyed the Hulk effects in the Edward Norton film, as well as the excellent Spider-Man work overall in that series. The real question would be who the good villain should be...

You have to think about Sinestro, I suppose. Krona, Nekron, and the Tales of the GL Corps trilogy would be good as the third film in the series.... extensive CGI work would likely run the film up towards the $300 million mark.

Carol Ferris needs someone who isn't feminine-soft for the role (especially if she turned into Star Sapphire in the second film).

The closest GL had to a sidekick was Green Arrow, who might be too derivative of Batman and Tony Stark's Iron Man to have his own flick, but he could be a good pal for Hal Jordan to have in the second film when Carol goes bad. But having the Barry Allen Flash would be a great teaming (and give him his own trilogy).

John Stewart and Guy Gardner could both be in the third film, as well as Kyle Rayner...so that depending on how audience-testing goes, you could start a new GL trilogy based on the the most-popular of the replacement GLs (and with Kyle, you could bring Wally West in, too, for a replacement Flash series).

Makeup work would go a long way for the humanoid aliens--Sinestro, Abin Sur, Katma Tui--but a lot of Gollum-level work is necessary for Tomar Re, and lots of prosthetics and masks for Kilowog or Arkkis Chummuck. Arisia would be good for the young female appearance (in the 90s, she could have been played by a young Jessica Alba). And for the kids, you have to have the little squirreloid Lantern Ch'p.

i think that Nathan Fillion would be the perfect hal jordan,, how can they say he to old to play green lantern,, rite now they have bradly cooper as the person ther gonna have play green lantern,, i think that Nathan Fillion looks just as young as him, if younger,, and bradly cooper dont look like the type for this role at all
