Speaking of Gaiman owning Todd's balls yet, what I really want to know is this:

When is Miracleman coming back and who's publishing it?!?

Todd spent three million on the ball and the result was millions more in publicity and a lucrative toy deal with major league baseball.

It's called "spending money to make money."

He also bought Sosa's 33rd, 61st and 66th home run balls, McGwire's first, 63rd, 67th, 68th, 69th, and Barry Bonds' 73rd. He bought the last at $450K, assume he bought the rest at $250K each, guessing low. That's $5.5 million in balls, which have lost-- 50% of their purchase price? 75%? 90%? He's got to clear millions extra to make up for those marketing expenses.
