“There are a couple of more deaths planned. Someone you have come to know will not make it to the end of the season." That always will bring up ratings....

Sometimes it's not always a good thing that someone who 'knows comics' writes TV shows or movies 'about comics'.

The comics business has gone out of their way to make themselves inaccessible to the average Joe (the Plumber).

Let a non-reader step into a comics shop. There is very little 'onboarding' for the non-collector

Heroes has become of perfect example of that.

I hope they can turn it around.

This is really good news.

The current season's more complicated and plot-twist driven storytelling is a direct result of complaints about season 2 being "too slow", "too boring", or "too character driven".

So, if the implied solution to complaints about THIS season is to go back to doing things the way they were done LAST season, it's not going to fix a damned thing, and people are still going to complain.

Moral of the Story: People are going to complain no matter what Tim Kring does, because nothing is ever going to compare to their own subjectively distorted nostalgic memories of how awesome season 1 was.
