Great article Ian. I was all set to correct you for forgetting to put NES X-Men but it was at the top of your list. One painful part no one mentions, because no one bothered finishing this awful but me and some mental patients, at the end you had to enter a hidden code printed on the cartridge label to finish the game. No pre warning that you might need this. Most NES games didn't have a save function. You had to turn your system off, take out the cart, write the code down, and play the whole awful thing again.

I'd like to say I don't do this kind of thing anymore. I'd really like to. But I finished TDK's Aquaman game last year because it was on sale at Best Buy for $5.

Surprised not to see X-2: Wolverine's Revenge, where Logan appears to be doing the hokey-pokey with Sabretooth to some funky dance number.

Captain America and the Avengers on Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo

The Punisher (and Nick Fury)

Batman: Joker's Revenge Holy Bat-Slide, Batman!

Cap & The Avengers is a pretty crap game, to be sure, as is X-2, but the others beat those out. If I put every bad Batman game up here, it would have been more tan six, so i just picked the worst. And I'm not sure WHAT you're smoking, but the Punisher arcade game (that was later released for Sega Genesis) featuring Nick Fury is AWESOME.
