My current favourite webcomics include Brooke McEldowney's Pibgorn (syndicated through goComics, but creator-owned and only available online, Barkeater Lake by Corey Pandolph (ditto), Dan Shive's El Goonish Shive, Paul Taylor's Wapsi Square (part of the Blanl Label group), The Wotch by Anne Onymous and Robin Ericson, and FreakAngels by Warren Ellis and Paul Duffield (which i found via ComicMix), and, of course, Foglio's Girl Genius.

Lots more - i read about twenty comics online daily, many of them the online versions of print comics.

The first webcomic i ever chanced across was Kevin & Kell, by Atlanta area artist Bill Holcombe; i used to read (and collect) it religiously, but when hwe had a lengthy period of computerlessness, i stopped. Last i heard, it was also running in some papers, but that's relatively recent.

An interesting field, and i look forward to future columns.
