Wow. It makes me wonder what Marvel gave him to sign for the multiple picture deal.

Truth be told, I enjoyed Iron Man more than Dark Knight -- probably because I really didn't know what to expect with Iron Man. Downey is an amazing actor; I urge people to check out his work in Richard III with Ian McKellen. Sort of the Howard Chaykin version of the Shakespeare ditty...

I'm not trying to excuse Downey's poor choice of words. But I can see how Downey might feel a bit irritated. I thought Downey's "Tony Stark" was a more nuanced, intelligent and entertaining performance. I thought "Iron Man" was a more coherent and enjoyable movie. It must be very frustrating seeing a dead guy get all the accolades and "Dark Knight" be the movie that makes 2008 "The Year of the Comic Book Movie."

Gotta admire a guy for saying what he thinks, in these P. C. times.

it's funny that Robert Downey Jr. said the Dark Knight is too sophisticated... he seems like such a sophisticated person himself
