Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at San Diego Comic-Con 2008
on August 4th, 2008 at 11:41 pmOne of the most popular bootleg videos at comic book conventions before the YouTube era was of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog making fun of geeks waiting in line for Star Wars.
Our favorite foul mouthed puppet set his sites on nerds once again when The Late Show with Conan O’Brien sent him to this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. And this time you don’t have to buy burned copies from a weird guy at a booth with Micronaut figures. I kid. I kid. (Oh, and consider this your official "Not Safe For Work" warning.)

I tried to watch 2 youtube videos of Triumph. One was a camera focused on Smigel, and it was painful to watch. It destroyed the illusion, weak though the illusion is. The other was of Triumph at the podium addressing a crowd. The guy who filmed it didn't have enough sense to keep his big yap shut, so because of the sound system, you could hear part of what Triumph said and then the filmer laughing, cheering, or making stupid comments. That was also painful, but mainly because the filmer is such a twit.
