Marvel Fashion Show at Comic-Con
It's high fashion for heroes! Or is it?
I'm not sure what to make of the "Marvel Fashion Show" event held during San Diego Comic-Con. I didn't attend the event, and now that I think of it, I'm surprised I haven't heard anyone express an opinion about it one way or another.
All I know is that Marvel.com just posted photos and a video from the event... and that provides a nice opportunity to open up discussion and hear what people think about it.

What do you think about Marvel's superhero fashion show, ComicMix readers? Let us know in the comment section of this post.

Exceedingly stupid. Cheap costumes, strutted by professional models who don't seem to have any interest in the characters. Utterly bogus stuff. Just my thoughts. And these will be available in time for Halloween? Yuck. Overpriced Yuck.

Actually I think they won't be available until Halloween 2009!

Never heard of the fashion house "Disguise" and they look like exactly what they are: Halloween Costumes available at Party City type stores. Obviously they are to compete with the sexy styled costumes out there made popular by stores/sites like Trashy Lingerie.
The models looked cute, if a little dead behind the eyes, in the hours leading up to the unveiling they girls sported giant garment bags and told passers-by to check out the Marvel booth at 2pm to see what was underneath.
you know because the Black Cat's costume isn't super sexy as is...

Basically, something like this just shows who Marvel think their target audience is...
I'm just vaguely irritated by it.

We've got slutty Captain America, slutty Venom, slutty Spider-Girl and... the White Queen.

You say slutty like it's a BAD word.

Only when my wife's around. ;)

This is more of a Frederick's of San Diego (tm) riff. I'll see you as Doctor Manhattan for Halloween '09, unless you see me first.
