As with every Comic-Con, the cosplay masses made their presence known at this year’s show. While the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds made quality in-crowd photos a bit difficult, here are a few shots from the floor provided by my intrepid partner, Jessica Bloustein. We’ve tried our darndest to caption the photos as best we can, but keep in mind that things are a bit hectic out here on the West Coast, so there was rarely enough time to do anything more than point-and-shoot. Feel free to identify some of the costumes in the comment section if we weren’t able to do so.
Oh, and if you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out the webcomics-related photos posted in my latest news roundup posted earlier today.

It’s a "d*ck in a box," of course…

Pyramid Head from Silent Hill was on the scene, apparently.

Star Wars cosplay… unmasked.

Bob the Angry Flower doesn’t look so much "angry" as he does "bored"…

Johnny Depp roles were popular at this year’s show, for some reason… Here we have Edward Scissorhands.

The "free hugs" signs were all over, too.

More Scissorhands…

Nope. No idea on this one. But I like it.

The juxtaposition of the bloody outfits and baby carriage made this image a keeper.

More Star Wars cosplay in action…

To be honest, there were far fewer Jokers at this year’s show than I expcted.

More anime cosplay… I think. Any ideas?

Rocket Boy and… something else.

This was one of a few Comedians at the show…

This Davy Jones one of my favorite costumes of the show, to be honest… the detail was amazing.

The "Sexy Jesus" crew promoting Hamlet 2 hammed it up all over the show floor.

That's certainly the last picture I would ever want to see. Why not something comic book relate?
I'm referring to the first photo. I'm on dial up, and that is the only one that had opened by the time I made my comment. And do we EVER need any more photos of Stormtrooper/Boba Fett/Darth Vader at any time ever ever ever in the next 2 decades? Stop wasting time and bandwidth, plz.
My digital camera was taken out by a light saber swinging Obi Wannabe, or I would have taken more photos myself.I saw quite a few Jokers, it was the lack of Klingons I found surprising.
hahahaha.that's me, in the Pyramid Head costume…. it doesn't look so hot from the back. Oh well.
I think the dude in the really colorful costume with the thing on his head (between the Joker and Rocket Boy) is supposed to be Gannondorf from Zelda Wind Waker…
