So, who does vote for the Eisners? Is it like the Nielsens? Do people have little monitors hooked up to their eyeballs to tell a shadowy organization what comics you read? Or was that a Warren Ellis comic?

A panel is selected each year, usually consisting of retailers, random industry professionals and reviewers. Not too much shadow, since you can see the panel at the Eisner web site.
