Cracked's Creepiest Comic Book Characters
What, no mention of Krypto and his superpowered crotch-sniffing abilities?
To be filed under "Hey! that's OUR thing, man!" Cracked.com recently posted a list of "The 6 Creepiest Comic Book Characters of All Time," leaving me wondering why they chose to make it a list of six characters. Why not five... or ten? "Cracked Six" just doesn't sound right, while ComicMix Six is practically candy for the ears.
But I digress...
Highlights of the questionably named list include Proty, the "sentient spunk blob" from Legion of Superheroes, and Comet, Supergirl's bestiality-minded superhorse.
Also, Comet periodically turns into a full human, at which point he does what any horse would do: Try to get laid with Supergirl before she can figure out he is really her horse.
The Cracked crew also gives a nod to Inner Child, one of Grant Morrison's creations during his Doom Patrol run, which seems like a cop-out, seeing as how 95-percent of the characters created by Morrison are pretty freakin' creepy.
Check out the full list at Cracked.com.

I don't know - the incest thing is kinda creepy (i didn't read those stories, so i don't know anything about it), but my own nominees for "Creepiest Characters" involve sex also - specifically, Amethyst and Arisia.
Neither of them sounds particularly creepy to you?
Amethyst's alter-ego. Amy, is what - thirteen? - and Amethyst is twentysomething. Given the setup (social *and* political) in the Gemworld, one would be not unjustified in suspecting that Amethyst would quite likely be sexually active.
And then she comes back to Earth and turns back into 13-year old Amy.
Arisia's case is even creepier - she's her race's equivalent of thirteen or fourteen (she says so when she introduces herself the first time she appears). But she's got the hots for Hal Jordan (although we're told that Hal doesn't know it)., and eventually uses her power ring to turn herself (physically) from a cute-thirteen-year-old into a sexy twenty-year-old so that she an Hal can bump uglies.
When Traci Lords admitted that she used fake documents to do essentially the same thing, all of her films suddenly became kiddie porn. I don't know how many stories featuring Hal and Arisia Doing It (off panel, of course) passed the Comics Code with no problem...
And, it having been way too long and my not having particularly cared, i'm not too sure just how far they actually went with the relatonship of Terra and Slade, but i recall finding that kinda creepy.

Add Cloud from the New Defenders to the list. She kept changing genders while juggling a love triangle with lesbian Moondragon and hetero Iceman, appearing as a man and a woman to each of them. Much later on she appeared to Moondragon as a child and confessed her love again.
