So, it would seem that the reflections within the gem form separate-yet-powerful gems in their own right.

In the reflections of The Bat-Man, we find the other heroes who have taken a bit of him and became another entity. Green Arrow. Spawn. Continuity's KnightHawk.

Would it be fair to say the same thing of Doc Savage, reflecting Superman who, in turn, reflected countless more?

An interesting idea and nice bit advertising. Consider one copy sold already.

Also, looking at the jeweled circle, one might see in the past Street and Smith's earlier pulp hero prototype, Jimmy Dale and his alias: The Grey Seal. Jimmy is a dual identity millionaire fighting crime who came after the Scarlet Pimpernel, but predates Zorro. You can read the first novel of his adventures here -- for free:
