I have DAKOTA NORTH sitting on the same shelf as BAT LASH and the MANHUNTER collection. One of those series that was exceptional and too short. I'm looking forward to your next script.

No company or executive should ever expect anyone to agree to any contract or terms they wouldn't proudly offer to their mother, Jesus, the fat lady, or their thousand dollar whore. Offering anything less or any "choices" involving anything less than the best deal possible is an immoral act. I read this in somebody's holy scripture somewhere.

So when is more Dakota coming out?

And why aren't you my friend on facebook?

Martha, do they have to pay you something even if Dakota North is just seen on one page of a book in one of those two-page spreads where a couple hundred characters are gathered together? One of those spreads where everyone (but me, it seems) picks the scene apart to figure out the name of every character pictured, even if all that's shown is about 25 percent of someone's torso? ;-)

No, I only get paid if she's in a certain (relatively high) percentage of pages. So far, nothing has met that cut-off point.

What a burn, considering she's become a regular in Daredevil, no?

I wouldn't look at is as a burn, but a precursor to an all out DN explosion.

A fuse, you might say.

Dakota North is based (at least in part) on Norris Church Mailer! Wow! Sometimes truth is wilder than fiction. A very interesting woman.

Great post, Martha. :)
