Heh. I just muttered back to the TV. The more thoughful news, in this case, Indian women serving as surrogate mothers, shows up on the news a couple days after it's in the WashPost. The reporter said "You can see all the news here" and I muttered "Two days after it was in the WashPost." The WP had both the NIU shootings and the Kosovo declaration of independence on the front page the day after they happened.

There's a DC suburb named McLean and it's pronounced m'KLAYNE. One TV reporter insists on saying MIC lean.

You can always tell when a newscaster is new to the Detroit area when it pronounces the street Lahser as Lasher.

Yeah, I've had to sign in every day since it first happened.

The thing is, this anchor has lived here 40 years. He just refuses to say the name right.
