I think i want that "Spirit" figure - if only to reassure me if the Miller film is as misconceived as it sounds it's going to be,

Black and white? The Spirit? Come on.

As to the figures - i can't find it now (can't recall what search terms found it a year or two ago) but i saw a series of figures of a large-scale diorama that recreated several of Eisner's class "Spirit" panels in a fully-rendered s3D street scene. (I have a feeling that it was in Holland - the Dutch seem to have had a lot more respect for Eisner and his work all along than you would have seen here in the US for a lot of years.)

Found the photos of Dutch (?) "Spirit" dioramas i mentioned, but even searching in Google Image Search on the image titles doesn't bringme any info on who built it or where.

Anyone who'd like to see some of the images drop me a line at steel.i.span (at) gmail.com...

I was really impressed with the Spirit statues at Dark Horse. The DH crew also seemed to realize what a great thing it was to have these made from Eisner's original sketches. If I had more room on my "geek shelves" (as my girlfriend calls 'em), these would certainly find their way there.

Mezco Toyz also have a nice Spirit statue that we'll posting later today, so keep an eye out for it.
