That's because they do comics backward these days. They need to start with the cover, THEN the story. What the hell is wrong with these guys?

Not just a piece of a 'who is going to DIE stinky crossover' stunt that's there to get you to buy 52 comics.

I loved the Gwen Stacy one at the end and had the same "Oh snap!" reaction that one of ISB's commenters had. I heart the ISB.
