When a new Howard the Duck came out, I blew off a day of college classes just to spend time with the story. The writing was rare, funny and provocative--in comics of all places. It was so--unique from anything published at the time.

Who would think that I would get to work with my comics hero years later on the Malibu Ultraverse--and then even become friends? Imagine!

I already miss his writing. I already miss dinners with him in Vegas. I already miss Steve Gerber as my comics hero and my friend.
