Damn. Ledger's death is just a horrible loss, both to his daughter/family and moviegoers everywhere.

Very true, Melanie and now it looks like the media is going to shift the focus on the tragedy to Mary Kate Olsen of all people. I was hoping for a clear cut resolution here on the cause of death, which in turn, might serve as a wake-up call to others living on the edge. Sometimes that is a bit of good that can come out of tragedies like these.

Nicholsons Joker was more like the 60s show. He wasn't scary dancing to Prince music.
Heaths Joker looks and sounds like the Joker should. He scares the piss off of me!
It is so sad that playing the Dark Joker took so much out of Heath.

I think it was just a case of "creepy in steps". Jack was 40% more creepy that Cesar Romero, and Heath took it up a few more notches.

I heard someone in the grocery store saying they weren't going to release "Batman" due to Ledgers death. I think this would be a huge injustice to Heath. The movie will be his swan song and everyone knows how hard he worked on it.

Don't worry about it. Barring post-production difficulties, The Dark Knight will be released as scheduled.

Do you reallllly think that they would give up all that potential revenue b/c someone killed themselves? No chance in hell, sorry to make this point known, but movie exec's and what not care much more about money than someones reputation.

I am from Australia and the news about the death of Heath Ledger has hit everyone here so hard. He was such a talented actor and its such a shame that he has had such bad and negative reports after his death. He will be sorely missed in the hearts and minds of all aussies. Rest in peace Heath-all my sympathies go to him and his poor family. May his daughter Matilda grow up knowing of her fantastic father and the impact he had on the world.
