Absolutely.

In the case of the music business, however, I could write a rant about the "songbirds" like Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Hilary Duff, who without the amazing technology of programs like Autotune, would not have a career. In the music industry, unfortunately, now that a computer can correct your pitches, tones, and general suckiness, it is true that anyone [provided they're goodlooking] can be a singer. They just need to get the 'in', and with the magic of the talented producers and engineers, a 'star' is born.

Frankly, singers are a dime a dozen. How many people do you know who can sing moderately well? Probably a lot. How many people do you know who can play an instrument as well as sing? Probably quite a few. Now, how many can play multiple instruments well, have a unique voice, write good lyrics AND music...? (Sorry Avril, a slight change of melody and a "Yeah-ee-yeah" doesn't count...we all know that Chantal Kreviazuk wrote your entire previous album).

So in the same way that those talentless aspiring 'actors' irk you, these lucky little girls piss me off because they do not deserve to be where they are, when so many others do.
