I have to say, as many comparisons that have been made to current day tech and Star Trek i.e. cell phones and communicators, etc. It dawned on me as I was watching reruns of the original series that the wacky thing Uhura used to put in her ear was like connecting my blue tooth to my cell. Sigh. In way childhood fantasy has become reality in a few short decades. It amazes me every day.

I have a Trek-related YouTube video on my blog today as well. It cleverly combines Trek clips with "Time Warp" from Rocky Horror.

I'll have to check it out. The Rocky Horror thing was an early part of my fanboy days with the Interlac gang in NYC. Imagine my suprprise when the real NTY RHPS from those early days ended up in the movie FAME. It cracked me up. I guess the Time Warp/ST/ maybe even Dr. Who is a pretty funny and obvious connection. Try crossing the Time Waro with the LSH!

    Um, isn't this the forty-first anniversary (1966-2007)?

Yeah, well, we're keeping the same rigor to math and science that Star Trek has.I realized the problem this morning while chatting with fellow Trek author Allyn Gibson, but couldn't get to a net connection till now. Thanks for the heads up.
