Top Cow's pilot method has also been called the shot gun method by DC. Shoot whatever into the air and see what hits. I don't approve of it. It shows a lack of willingness, to focus on making quality books, and then backing them 100%. If you believe in a every project you put out, and treat every book like a special event, it's more likely to do well, and you're more likely to be taken seriously.
I also must say, I love when you air stories like the Denis the Menses one.
