Oooh! Pretty pictures!

SF Revu interviews two artists in their current issue: John Jude Palencar and Stephan Martiniere.
Eddie Campbell has been posting a lot about covers (mostly from Bacchus and related comics from the late ‘90s), but today he writes about what kind of paper he draws on.

Irene Gallo photoblogged the most recent Art Out Loud event at the Society of Illustrators, where various professional artists work in public while aspiring artists watch and (later) ask questions. This was the all-comics edition, with Klaus Janson, Michael Avon Oeming, and Paolo Rivera drawing various projects – World War Hulk, Powers, and Mythos: Fantastic Four, respectively – while Chris Allo from Marvel and Mark Chiarello from DC did portfolio reviews.
Jim Bumgartner has created a large coverpop of historical science fiction covers, arranged horizontally by time and vertically by average hue. Hours of fun with bug-eyed monsters!
The artist known both as Les Edwards and Edward Miller has just added about 50 new images to his already large website, and is also having a sale of 20% off all prints purchases through the site.
