First look at Heath Ledger's Joker?
Or has Alice Cooper endorsed Harvey Dent?
Hidden behind the defaced campaign site of Harvey Dent is an image that appears to be the first released image of Heath Ledger as the Joker in The Dark Knight. We'll put it behind the jump for spoiler reasons, so please click the "continued" button:

Well, it sure looks like the sort of bad guy we'd see in a Christopher Nolan film...

We'll wait and see, but I'm not sure about that one. I mean, is this a good idea for a film kids are going to want to see? Who knows though? Maybe it's just a test photo.

fuck the kids.this joker looks like something from the arkham asylum graphic novel.i do want to see what he looks like when he's smilling.otherwise i think it's awesome.

I should add, I do think it looks cool, but I'm thinking of things from a sales point of view.

I wouldn't put Batman Begins in the "kiddie film" category so why wouldn't the sequel be scary/dark/off putting? Those scenes after the gas was released in The Narrows were nightmarish and the film was rated PG-13...

You're right, and I felt the same way about that as I do about this. Batman is for kids, as much as it is for adults. I will say though, that I did really like what they did, as an adult.

the new batman films are not made to be for children, and they also arent only thinking about money. thats why christian bale and christopher nolan are making these films. thats what made batman forever and batman and robin terrible. they were there to make money and be for little kids.
