Remembering the great television creator
Seventeen years ago today, it got just a bit less easy to be green.
Here's to you, good fellow. (Hat tip: Lisa Sullivan.)

Well that made me cry.

A wonderful clip and a great special. The end shows the first (I believe) performance of Steve Whitmire as Kermit. If you look in the background, you can see other Jim Henson characters as well -- Rowlf, Ernie, Waldorf -- indicating that they were still "alive" as well.
I believe this was also one of the final performances of the very talented Richard Hunt (Scooter, Statler, Janice, etc.) who died of AIDS in January 1992.
