Maya found time to change into new, sexy, little battle tunic. Where'd she get that? She also has a new battle "HISSSS." It's Vipering Time!
Fu clubs the leading Bandit off his horse and is about to mallet in his brain. The other bandits see this and react, "Aieee! Snake! Quick, kill it!" The snake looks to be at least ten feet away. It seems like a non sequitur, especially when Fu is poised with a mallet about to crush in the skull of their friend. Maybe this bandit knows how deadly White Viper Venom can be. Maybe he has ophidiophobia, the fear of snakes.
Is the snake there at Maya's command? She talks to the snake. Does it listen? Can the snake understand her?
By the way, was it the shock of seeing little Maya kill a bandit with a HISSSS and a death touch that stunned Fu, making him drop his mallet and allowing himself to get held hostage?
And of the four bandits, Maya killed three of them with her "death touch"! If the villagers feared her for playing with wolves before, what are they going to think now!
