Skip, are the cops deliberately drawn to look like Blue Meanies (or is it the other way around)?
I'm glad the reader has the capability to see two pages at once, it really gives pages 6-7 an impact!

John, thanks for bringing Gordon, Bob and the bar back to us. As an original reader of Grimjack and Munden's Bar it is amazing to see new material. As always, Munden's surprises and amuses. I never knew what to expect and this issue lives up to it's paper precedessors. The constantly changing styles, perspectives, and artwork push the comic reader's comfort zone while at the same time make them feel at home. Munden's was alway as a highlight and it's great to see the tradition to continue. I'll be here every Friday!

Munden's Bar. psychedelia, talking Del skulls, exploding heads, freudian nexus passages and Ostrander story with Williamson art. I'm very happy right now. I've enjoyed all the stories so far, looking forward to the rest.

So I might as well bury the news right here, for those loyal comments-readers: this Friday, John teams up with Marc Hempel to comment on one of Marc's best known efforts... the one involving The crow. Not "a" crow. THE crow. Heh heh heh.

Just great. A masterful job by Skip and John, and the entire crew. Del would be very proud and happy to see the tradition continuing. If he's got his WebTV connected where ever he's at, I'm sure he's cackling with delight.
okay, Mike, so when are we going to see some new stories by Del? The Del Close I knew would never let a little thing like death stop him.

I want to see the script, where it says, "And then a giant, neon, electric, floating vagina appears out of everywhere and John zooms out to pick up the talking skull of Del Close!"
What I like about Munden's Bar and Cynosure in general is that, as the crossroads of ALL dimensions, they are an invitation to EVERYONE to come join the party. This is the place where Nancy Drew could meet both Vampirella and Scooby Doo.
It would be nice if there was a place like Cynosure or Munden's Bar that was Open Sourced, public domain, a fictional Wikiplace where fan fiction can mingle freely with Copyrights and imagination can just get drunk and say, "Whee!"
I remember getting very excited when I first read the "braided novels" of Thieves' World. I thought, "Cool, all these writers are creating something like a comic book universe where everybody can use each others characters in crossovers!"
I felt a similar excitement when I read Stephen King's Dark Tower series. It was exciting to think that nearly ALL of Stephen Kings diverse novels were somehow linked and spinning around a multi-dimensional place called "The Dark Tower." Of course it's easy to imagine that part of the Dark Tower exists in Cynosure.
So, what is the copyright situation with Cynosure? The city is INTEGRAL to the Grimjack mythos, SO integral that many probably think that the city was created by John Ostrander. But, if memory serves, it was created in the comic book "Warp!" And that was based on some sci-fi musical? Who owns "Cynosure?" Could Cynosure and Munden's Bar be made into some kind of open source places that anybody could use?
Could a copyright notice similar to open source software be used (this lets people USE the software freely WITHOUT giving away the rights to it), that would allow any and all characters to come to the playground of Cynosure, but still maintain some kind of control over concept?
