Trying to protect the hobos from a mob lands Lone Justice in a slug-fest with a thug whose ugly mug is a blast from the recent past!

OK. We are back in Action, with a capital "A."
Is the guy that Lone Justice recognizes, as one of Scion's Henchmen, the guy LJ knocked out with gas on page #11? In that episode Scion was knocking down a Whorehouse. In this episode one of Scion's men is beating up hobos. Does Scion have some kind of violent social agenda? Is he part of some plot to "clean up" the city by removing "undesirables" in nasty ways? Could that be why the Police Chief let him go? (I'm sorry, I enjoy speculating on plot elements. I hope I'm being a SPOILER. That's not my intention.)
I don't understand the confrontation on page #57 and #58. Here we have a henchman with a stick versus an armed Lone Justice on top of a train. This should be no contest. Lone Justice has already clocked the guy. OK, he's tough and can take a punch, but LJ has got GUNS! But I'm reminded of the scene in "Raiders of the Lost Arc," where Indy takes on the guy with machetes in the marketplace. The fierce giant waves about his swords. And Indy just shoots him!
We've seen LJ gas this guy (or somebody similar) before, why not just gas him or shoot him? Why risk hand to hand combat on top of a moving train?
I know, the reason he doesn't just shoot the guy is that messes up this cool action scene and the train-hanger/cliffhanger taking us into...
(cue the announcer) "The Next Thrilling Episode of LONE JUSTICE!"
(cue the Horns for the "Lone Justice Theme") "Bwa-bwa-bum-Bwah! Teedle-dee-ooh!"

Actually - the reason LONE JUSTICE doesn't just gas him or shoot him is already established. He is running out of everything in his bag of tricks. He is down to just a few bullets. He is trying to conserve his resources. And fists are cheap.
Hey, there's no horns in the LONE JUSTICE THEME! Mostly guitars!

If there is a "Lone Justice Theme" with Guitars, I want to hear it! I just "heard" the Lone Justice Theme in my head with horns or organ as I was typing. Check out 3:40 of this piece: http://www.wga.hu/music1/19_cent/saint-saens_omphale.html for an example of what I had in my head.
The "he's running out of gas and bullets" explanation works for me. His bullets could have gotten wet in the sewers too! I don't know much about guns and ammo, but I would guess that might cause misfiring and lead LJ to rely on his fists more.
Would Lone Justice build something like "Brass Knuckles" into his gloves? Something to give him the edge in a fist fight? Would Batman do that? Or is that not "fighting fair"? I would think that Batman and Lone Justice would have different ideas about what is fair in a fight. I know Batman generally doesn't mess with guns.

That should read, "I hope I'm *NOT* being a SPOILER!" I love speculating on where the plot might be moving. I like making guesses. But I don't want to spoil other people's fun. I'm rereading some of my comments and realizing that I wish there was some way to fix little typos (like dropped words) months after the writing them. Oh well.

Heh - just wait until you publish a book. That is the absolute surest way to suddenly see every typo and mistake - and the exact moment it is forever too late to fix it. At least we get a second chance at ComicMix. The print editions will have corrections of course, but we sneak in corrections on the posted pages too!

I've seen corrections sneak in on posted pages! I look on my "job" in this "getting free comics" enterprise as being not just a gushing geeky fan-boy, but occasionally I'm an unpaid proofreader. OK, I'm not under-compensated. Getting a "first look" look at great, original comics in development, and for FREE, well that's pretty cool.

I took a listen and I see what you are going for. It reminds me of my favorite Danny Elfman cut from the Burton BATMAN movie. The moment when the Batmobile is racing along the road through the forest of trees with the autumn leaves flying about.
