I really enjoyed "Frankie and Vampi." I love crossovers. But this was just a very brief tease, a tiny introduction to Frankenstein Mobster and Monstros City. I do feel like I got a taste of what Frankenstein's Mobster is about. I didn't learn much about Vampirella.

Vampi: "I wouldn't want to live here...But I wouldn't mind being caught dead in a place like this!"

I hope ComicMix stays around long enough to see more of Frankenstein's Mobster. And thanks for quoting me over on FEARnet. That was cool.

Frankenstein Mobster is like a delicious Halloween Treat!

Thanks Russ. And having a chance to include Vampi in a Frankenstein Mobster tale was an adolescent dream come true for me. But not only did I not have permission to do anything with Vampi's character, at the time I was doing this story Harris Publications was trying to change the direction of the character. My only choice was to play it safe. That way the story got approved by the Harris editor and their lawyers. And for that I am very thankful.

There is a lot more Frankenstein Mobster on the way. An epic graphic novel and a series of short stories are in the works right now as I am collaborating with MJ Butler on the scripts, and I'm about 50 pages in on the art. So stick around. But next up here at ComicMix is LONE JUSTICE: CRASH!

My final blog on the origins of FRANKENSTEIN MOBSTER is up over at FEARnet - along with lots of behind the scenes art and even a sculpture I did of Frankie. Check it out here:
