Thanks, Elayne. What a day. You get a job. EZ STREET gets a HARVEY AWARDS NOMINATION for BEST ONLINE COMIC and EZ STREET concludes. Not bad. The only sad part is - we're done and Scott and Danny will no longer be hanging out with us every day!

Wow, great news about the Harvey but what will I do without Scott and Danny? Not to mention Bob and Mark. Beautiful work guys. IMHO your best work yet. Can't wait to see what's next.

I've spent the last couple of hours re-reading EZ street. The message that you need to have the courage to follow your dreams is one that really resonated with me. I have tended to be like Dan in that I don't always follow thru on things I really want, even though I know (potentially) life would be better if I did. Fear's a bitch. Also loved the looks at how the creative process works for the brothers. EZ Street is just an excellent piece of work. Congrats on the Harvey nomination, guys.

There is a part of me that would like to maintain the fiction that I never had to deal with these fears - like Scott and Danny do in the story. But the truth is - we all have the fears. And I don't know that I have any particular large doses of courage. It is more simple than that - I just am so compelled to write and draw comics that I can't stop myself. And over the years - I've come to learn that following my dreams results in my best work. And my best work sells the best. And that ends up convincing me to try another wild idea next. And right now Bob and I have a list of wild ideas!

I certainly enjoyed the ride, that's for sure. Congrats on the nomination... well deserved.
Begs the question though: what's next? ;)

What's next? Next is already here for the Tinnell/Wheatley team. We have not taken a break. But - we had a very long lead time to start EZ STREET and by the time this week's episode hit the site, I was only about two weeks ahead of my deadline. That means we need some break time to get enough pages done so that we won't be missing weeks on the "next" story. And that next story is no secret. Because you asked for it (well, Sal, I don't know if you asked for it - but a lot of people did) we are bringing you the graphic novel that Scott and Danny decided they were going to do. We're doing LONE JUSTICE: CRASH! We will have a bit more info about it later this week in the news section of ComicMix. But this will be Scott and Danny's graphic novel - even though Bob and I will be happily taking credit for it!
