Brilliant... especially loved page 112.

Danny: "Like Kirby's and Lee's 'Coming Of Galactus' type of con." The out-stretched hand was a great touch.

Excelsior? Now that's an entirely different approach. I think I got that kind of thing more into the HAMMER OF THE GODS series that I did with Mike Oeming.

Ever since I saw how Mark was planning that particular panel I've had to restrain myself - I keep thinking of a ton of places to write stuff that would invite that sort of thing. But then - cooler heads prevail. Makes me think it would be fun to do a story wherein every panel would be reminiscent of famous panels throughout comics history. Hmmm....
