I hate it when stupid people do stupid things in stories. In this case there is just TOO much stupidity to go around. How could someone let a complete novice (not just a novice rider, but someone who has NEVER seen a motorcycle before) ride a motorcycle on (and then off) a flying boat! I found this plot twist (even in a fantasy story that includes planes powered by multi-legged, junky weasels) unfathomable.

I'll say one thing for Black Ice, it certainly doesn't waste any time in getting to the action.
