Neil has been through the wormhole for two weeks. Orum's gone over to the Helmut. The Helmut have perfected the internal combustion engine. They've found a source of fuel and been able to train a squadron of flyers on how to fly the birds without pomegs in just two weeks. And on Neil's end of the world, the Luftar have been able to set up a refinery INSIDE the lip of an enormous volcano, in two weeks. These are busy people.
