Did you know Michael Bay made it into the Guiness Book recently for biggest explosion ever filmed with actors present? Not kidding. The Internets are pretty sure the explosion happens during the Egypt battle scene which includes Devastator. It's like I always say, if you've only got one talent, you should strive to be the best at it.Anyway, Devastator, eh? The original combiner. Here's a guy who was the most feared Decepticon ever, until Menasor was created. And then Bruticus. And Predaking and Abominus. All I'm really saying is he ended up being just a really tall Decepticon, which I think is still pretty scary. I think Bay's version is going to turn out to be much of the same, as I'm pretty sure he'll be defeated and that the Autobots will do it without their own giant robot. So he can't be that bad. I think it's a matter of how many Autobots he takes down with him.If the commercials are any indication, he will be entertaining no matter what, as long as he doesn't eat sand the whole time.

I have to go with Original on this one. Mostly due to looking at Bays version, he looks like he crawls around and grunts. While the Original Devastator was simple in mind, he had a gun. Pure and simple. I think alot of people underestimate the power that he has. Marc make's a fair comparison in Devastator being Hulk like in demeanor (and color). But springboarding off that, he's simple enough to do pure damage without thinking about collateral damage. He's supposed to be a force of nature, not caring if it's friend or foe that gets detroyed, as long as IT can destroy. But in a fight between the two beasts, I pick the original. He has a gun, a really really really big gun.

I will take the Bay version just because I can :)

I can't believe I'm doing this but I'm going to pick the new one.I had the combining toy for the original, and I always thought he was awesome (And yes Matt, had a big gun). Something about the new design just looks more bestial and ready to tear someone apart.I hope bay doesn't let me down.

The new one looks like the downs syndrome cousin of Big Daddy from Bioshock. So yeah, I'm going with the original design. (What a shock, huh?)

It seems like a tough fight, but I would go with G1 Devestator, I think it'd be close, the new Devs is badass but I've seen the film so I'm going to go with G1…plus he has a massive gun.

Transformers: The Movie said it all. Devestator was not beaten as a matter of fact, he single handedly took out the Autobots best weapon…The DinoBots….I'm sure in the Bay blow-fest (in more ways than one), Devestator will be defeated.

Without giving anything away, now that I've seen ROTF, G1 Devastator wipes the floor with Bay's behemoth. G1 may be smaller, but he's faster and has ranged weapons (and might, just might, be a skitch smarter, too :P)
