    I think it important to mention that this is a 98-page hardcover for $17, a reasonable price for such a book. (Realizing, of course, that value has little to do with cost; just wanting to point out it is not a 32-page comic book.)

      Satchel Paige made one of the classic remarks – when Bill Veeck, who brought him into the bigs wit the Cleveland Indians, in the days when baseball teals were first beginning to fly to road games, asked him "Satch – does it worry you, taking up flying at your age?" (Paige was at least in is 40s by then). And Paige replies "No, sir, Mr Veeck – I figure they might kill you, but they ain;'t likely to hurt you."
