It’s Round 3 of the Mix March Madness 2014 Webcomics Tournament!
UPDATE 3/27: Round 3 is over– vote in the Sweet 16 now!
Congratulations to everyone who made it through Round 2, and we’ve raised another $50 for the Hero Initiative. But now it gets even tougher, as we’re down to only 32 webcomics… and this is after the tightest round in Mix March Madness history, with three contests decided by two votes or less, and our first ever tie that required a run-off election! So we now know that every vote counts, from you and all your friends, so make sure to share and tweet about it, because Round 3 of the Mix March Madness 2014 Webcomics Tournament starts now! Voting lasts until Midnight EDT on Wednesday, March 26! Here are the latest standings…

As usual, we’re letting you support your favorite strips by paying for additional votes, with your money going to charity. Simply click on the Donate button below, and during checkout, click on “Which comic are you donating for?” and tell us who you’re voting for. The price is 20¢ a vote, with a minimum of five votes purchased at a time, split any way you want. All proceeds from paid votes will go to the Hero Initiative, an organization that helps comic book creators in need. At the close of the round, we’ll add the paid votes to the totals and announce the winners who move on to the brackets. (And yes, your donations to Hero are tax deductible.)
Again, voting ends at midnight Eastern Time on Wednesday night! Good luck to everyone!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I’m confused about how to vote. I’m new to this. Do you have to pay for your first vote? Also, where do I go to vote?
Iguenther, you don’t have to pay for your first vote. :) Underneath the brackets there should be a box with all current contestants spaced out by blank options. Just click on your favorites and hit “submit” at the bottom.
If you’re not seeing the poll on this page, try refreshing. My connection doesn’t always let the poll load, so that may be your problem, too.
I can’t believe that Flaky Pastry has come so far. I have nothing against it, but I cannot conceive how it defeated strong newcomer Blindsprings AND Guilded Age which is finalist material and one of the best comics in the Internet. I’m saying this as objectively possible, not as a fanboy. I’m a fanboy of many other comics (such as Homestuck and Lackadaisy) but Guilded Age has all my respect. It’s one of the most cleverly and entertaining written comics around, with great art from an “industry veteran” and perhaps the only long-form comic to update daily.
Since it’s not getting much recognition by being eliminated in the first round, it may be a sign that its readership is not as vast as I imagined, so I’m leaving this here as an encouragement for you guys to check it out.
